Walbro fuel pump install is EASY
Just installed the Walbro GSS315 fuel pump kit fron the Rx-7 store.
First thanks to Jason and the Rx-7 store for doing exactly what they said they would do when they sadi they would do it. Nice and boring. I love that.
OK if this is not a DIR, it sure can't be much easier. I guess since you have to install two in-line splices, it's not a straight drop in. It fits in the old bracket perfectly. All the parts needed are provided.
Only two small details. When installing the spacer over the pump output, there is a small boss close to the output neck that seems to push the spacer up too high for the oring retainer to seat well. I removed that boss with my dremmel. The new fuel inlet filter is smaller than the stock one by about 1/2 and it does not have a little plastic support on the bottom like the stock screen does. These appear to me to be really small details.
If you can change your own oil, you can do this! Best part is you get Bosch pump performance for $130 (or whatever).
