Kind of. At higher RPMs on a turbo your do a lot more flow compounded with more boost feeding more exhaust flow whereas the centrifugal will be limited by the the drive belt.

just wonder why the America muscle always have a twin screw supercharger instead of turbo

They have large displacement V-8's, so the supercharger enhances what the motors are good at already, torque...

Also with the V-8's found in these you would have to double up on all your turbo equipment as there are two exhaust banks. 1 supercharger system is cheaper than two turbo set ups.
