VMIC vs SMIC Challenge

I've done a ton a business through Chuck. I spent thousand in the 90's when he owned www rx7fashion.com . Anyone remember that company?
Anyhow, I'm totally happy with Chucks service and will continue to buy from him.

Thanks for the sweet deal on the Feed Sideskirts Chuck! Now, let's talk about getting me a V-mount!
I was at Chuck's shop picking up my side skirts one night last week while Chuck was out for a test drive in a customer's car that he was being paid to tune. I think it was a Single TO4Z(bbearing) where the owner wanted to run 20psi or something... Anyway, the Chuck came back after 20 mins of boosting and popped the hood. I touched the back side of the VMIC core and the Outlet pipe and they were both "COLD" to the touch! My Large SMIC doesn't doens't perform like this(No offense). I am sold. I'd be happy to pay to have my car be the test bed for the challenge and pay for the conversion.

Chuck, I commend you for such a bold challenge to the V-Mount versus M2/ASP SMIC. I’ve always had respect for you and your products and now I have more than ever before. Not many people have the ***** to make such a challenge. You have my full support.
As for anyone who criticizes the Rotary Extreme V-mount; it will be about time for you to shut your mouths and open your eyes.

Bottomline, Chuck and Kevin are both knowledgable individuals that make great products.
A direct comparison of the 2 intercoolers would be nice just to see the data, but it's not necessary as both intercoolers will perform their job effectively. The main factors that influence the customer's purchase decision are price and bling, optimum performance just doesn't matter to most anymore (thus the widespread popularity of the XSPower Intercooler). To each his own, I personally picked up a used PFS Intercooler

Rob:
I regret to hear your decision but I urge you to know the whole background before you make the decision.
1. Kevin T Wyum has been trying to undermine by business ever since 7 years ago when I had no wrong doing against him. Do a search on vmount and read all the threads. It's well documented. You will understand why.
2. Neofreak and his friends have problem with me because I sell replica bodykits. They will make up stories on anything I sell or every time there is something regarding my products. I have tolerated them long enough. In those previous vmount threads, they also show up passing false info.
3. On the other vmount thread, I was trying to help a customer out but instead, he tried to flame me.
I have nothing against you but I urge you not let your emotion carry you away. You don't have to put yourself in this. You didn't do anything to me. Do I still consider you as a customer? I do. Once a customer always a customer. I don't spam email customers so you will not get any emails from us. Thank you for your concern.

The products that you sell are not in question by me, but your actions are. Over the past few years, I have seen a few of your posts that I did not particularly agree with. Some of them even aggitated me slightly with respect to your tone and attitude. But I was willing to overlook these, while giving you the benifit of the doubt. However, your recent public actions over the past few days have pushed me over the line, and thoroughly pissed me off. It has been extremely un-professional, and by no means in accordance with the way I expect my business contacts to act.
Read this next part carefully (twice if need be):
Understand this: I am NOT happy with your current attitude and recent public actions. Enough so that I no longer consider myself a customer of yours. Remove my name from any/all databases that you maintain. Your e-mail and contact info has been deleted from my address book, and your website has been removed from my bookmarks. The items that I have with your name on it will be removed from my car and sold, as I no longer wish to hold any product bearing your name.
With all honesty, this boycott of mine won't have any effect on you financially. Because of that, you probably won't even care that you pissed off such a small-time customer. And to be honest, that just goes to further my point, and verify to me that I made the right decision.
Good luck with all your future endeavors, Chuck. If you continue down the path that you're on, you'll need all the luck that you can get...

The end tank design is fine the way it is. When customers put the vmount on the car, the car boosts more than before because the whole system has lower pressure drop than before.

I did not start defaming Kevin, Period. The whole story goes like this.
I came out with the VMIC back in 2002. It was a new product since no one has heard about Vmount before. There is not a singe RX7 vendor that does Vmount and we are still the only one as of today. In order to promote the product, I posted here on the concepts of vmount. Kevin would jump right in and told people Vmount does not work and it's a stupid concept.
When it's finally done and customers put on the car and share their experience on the Vmount, he jumped right now accusing me of impersonating the customer.
More people use Vmounts and more customers have testimony, he jumped right in saying all their data are invalid.
Whenever I share some experience or concepts on the forum, he jumped right in saying my Physics or my English suck without proof of invalidity of my physics concepts or what English has to do with products working or not.
Now he agrees that the Vmount "MIGHT" cool the intake temp better than the SMIC. But instead of concentration on the subject of intercooler performance, he had to take my words out of context accusing me of trying to copy his products while I have no interest of doing. Or he would say the product costs more so it's not justified while it's actually cheaper. Or he would make me seem like an evil person who no one should have done business with.
Trust me, his action has been hurting my business. He has done a great job. As I mentioned before in other vmount threads, his action might hurt his car business but he would not care. As he claimed, his IC sales only consist of 1% of his total income while I am doing this full time. Just in this thread, there are already people influenced by the whole drama and calling it quit even though I had not done any wrong to them. Should I care about his actions toward my business? You bet I care a lot and I do not wish to take his bully action any longer.
I have been taking his bully actions for years. There is no stopping him from doing this unless there is challenge like this to just shut him up and get off my back. He would still come back saying I sell copy bodykits, I am unethical because I sell copy bodykits, etc but the main point is that I will prove that my product outperforms his and that's what people should concentrate on. His other personal attacks really have nothing to do with the performance of the products. I hope people reading this can concentrate on the performance of the products instead of Kevin's diversion tactics.
Anyway, I don't plan to say more. If you are interested on how this thing comes about, do a search on vmount and read the threads back to late 2002 to 2003, you will know how badly I was bullied by Kevin T. Wyum and why I have to do this to end it once for all.
After all, it's for a good cause, all the profits will be donated to the Katrina victims. And if I am wrong about my product being better than Kevin's, I will donate $10,000 to the Katrina victims, apologize to Kevin and leave the forum forever.

As a personal testimony, Chuck has always been more than helpful with anything I needed. I purchased his VMIC two years ago and have been pleased with the dramatic improvement in temps compared to the M2 SMIC that I used to use. I'm certain this challenge will produce similar results.

wow chuck is PO'D lol.
i have to say chuck has always been professional with things ive ordered and has gone out of his way to help customers, such as offering to switch his old air box for the vmount one as he did in the past without charge and using customers koyo's in their new vmount setup.
he also does lots of group buys often and thats alot of work to do without reward.

This is how the story goes.
1. Even though Kevin has no first hand experience on Vmounts, he does not hesitate to make comments.
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...unt+kevin+wyum
No problem. I did not post anything because it's his opinion and people can post anything with their own opinons. I politely explain the concepts of Vmount. No Bashing from me.
2. Nothing to do with Vmount but Kevin will never hesitate to share his opinions. I am not even on that thread because I mind my own business.
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...unt+kevin+wyum
3. Now Kevin is mad because people start to buy vmounts. While my customer shares his experience on the vmount, Kevin will make the following comment:.
Although funny I didn't think Rotary Extreme was one of those loser copy shops. He only uses his own designs for all of the products including body kits.
To be fair though if you wanted to plug your IC group buy that ends next week why didn't you just post that instead of some "I am a real customer. You can trust me when I say it does really well at freeway speeds and even if I floor it quickly." It does explain why you were so eager to have "a real customer" post in a thread about intercoolers the other week though : ).
Get some real data from the track, either type. Talking about how something does on the freeway occasionally flooring it is retarded. Good testing data is always welcome. It's about as good as testing IC performance on a dyno : ).
Who was the person that was making the Horizontal Mount IC? I remember someone saying that was supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread but I don't see it mentioned anymore.
Anyway I obviously have my bias as do others. Merry Christmas to everyone.
Kevin T. Wyum

Yeah, before X'mas, that really made my day! Did I do anything to him? No. What's his intention of saying such things without proof, You be the judge. Now you understand why if I don't do this challenge, he would always make the same false statements?
4. More crap from him whenever there is a Vmount thread, especially when customers share their experience on my vmount setup.
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...unt+kevin+wyum
5. More crap from him, not even about IC. He follows everywhere I go.
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...unt+kevin+wyum
6. When ever there is a vmount. Kevin will show up.
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...unt+kevin+wyum
7. This thread show how ethical Kevin Wyum is and he has to bring me out while he was talking about another vendor screwing him?
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...unt+kevin+wyum
8. Whenever there is vmount thread, he will show up.
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...unt+kevin+wyum
9. This thread has nothing to do with him but he will show up anyway making some comments. He already admited that he misunderstood what I said but no apology.
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...unt+kevin+wyum
You can see all the examples of how he avoids the techincal questions. Instead of concentrating on the performance aspect of the interocoler, he will personal attack me.
If you have time, read it all and then see if I am the ******* here.

I want everyone to see that's why I posted it here. Will the testing to beneficial? I think it will. Many people want to know and many people are tired of the bickering and personal attacks which I have endured for the longest time. All the bickering started it on the forum so might as well just end it here.
I already explained the background and now just waiting for customer to drop off the car and get the testing going.
If you can, just ask Kevin to concentrate on the performance aspects of the intercoolers, not calling names and mixing his personal grudge or prejudice against me in this thread. If he can stop doing that, I will not say anything else except posting the results.

Let me know if you can drop by the shop so we can talk more. Either on modifying your M2 into the Vmount or get you a regular one. Let's get it done.

How have you been? I have been trying to find the import tuner but all the bookstores here suck so I couldn't get that issue. You got a copy for me? I want to keep one for souvenir.

Thanks for the feedback. I am glad to hear that at least I did do something right which is to make the customers happy.

i have to say chuck has always been professional with things ive ordered and has gone out of his way to help customers, such as offering to switch his old air box for the vmount one as he did in the past without charge and using customers koyo's in their new vmount setup.
he also does lots of group buys often and thats alot of work to do without reward.
