I don't know you Chuck. I certainly don't have anything against you. The first part of this thread looked really bad. If you want to make a public point, I suggest that you do it in a manner that puts $0.00 dollars in your pocket. Otherwise, it looks like a scheme to make some money, badly disguised as a "challenge"

 

I wouldnt mind seeing an intercooler shoot out between these two popular brands. But this seems more like a personal vendetta than just the mere compairing of two products.

Because you don't know me, that's why you think it's a scheme. But it's not a scheme. I clearly stated why I am doing this and what's involved. Like I said, there are already some people wanting to get a vmount locally and it's their chance to get it cheaper.

Thansk for the concern. But now it's too late. This will continue. I am a man of my words. When I say it will be done, it will be done.

I can't do it for free is because someone will say since you are giving it for free, of course the guy is going to say nice things. Agree? There is nothing free here. I want customers to show their true thoughts on the vmount and nothing else. They are paying for it and they will share their experiences unbiased.

I didn't say you did Chuck. All I said, is they are pretty much the same. Nothing more, nothing less. However, what I neglected to comment on was your monster VMIC. There's no doubt the monster is diffrent from all others on the market.

I'm currently choosing not to post pictures of either setups out of respect to you and Knight Sports. However, if this thread becomes more, i'll have no issues doing so. At that point, everyone can make their own judgement.

It's called being the better man. No matter what you do for a living, there's always going to be someone crawling on others backs. That's life.

You wan't to prove someone wrong? Then you find a better way of doing it. Find a local customer, offer him the chance to have a VMIC, and a SMIC installed. Show proof of the testing, along with the customers testomonial. This allows you to show proof to everyone, and helps keep this from so public. What you've just done has pretty much drove me away from being a customer. I may just be one person, but everyone counts.

I've read alot of your customer feedback. I've heard many storys of you taking time out of your personal life to help someone install a VMIC and all sorts of other products you offer. There's not a single doubt in my mind that you go out of your way to help people.

I've been in these situations, as i'm sure others have. There's just better ways to deal with it.

How about this. Right now the biggest SMIC is the ASP/M2 large. The Greddy one is too small. So to give a fair comparision between SMIC and VMIC, there is no other choice. I wanted to do this comparisin between SMIC and VMIC in public long time ago and now Kevin just gives me that extra push.

The motive is not important. The result is. It does not matter what my reason is, you will know which one works better by the end.

Since then I switched to a FMIC which DEFINITELY works better than a SMIC

 

Good on you Chuck!! I've done business with you before and was perfectly happy with what I received and with the way I was treated. Seeing you actually put your own money up for grabs shows your confidence. I wish you the best of luck. But then again I don't see you having to pay anyone. I have tried all 3 methods of IC's and the V-mount setups I have used were the best performers. Plus Chuck is offering this to people with stock hoods. A V-mount's TRUE potential will never be reached without a vented hood. While they still rock with a stock hood, throw a vented hood on your car and you'll see why the V-mount is such an incredible design.

Also, I'm not knocking the ASP IC setup by any means. It is a great design and I've seen it work like a champ. It's also very proven. But I from what I have seen personally a V-mount setup does work better. And for me I want my air charge to be as cold as possible. Even if it isn't a huge difference.

I see you havn't been on these boards for long at all. You'll soon see that most of the "veteran" forum members will back Kevin 100%. Kevin started helping the community long before RE, and other current vendors. It seems as the days go by, that more of the "new comers" seem to have issues with Kevin, along with many other "veterans" such as JimLab. It's unfortunate that the new crowds can't take positive criticism, along with getting the **** out of their ears, and listen up.

This thread has nothing to do with my vmount vs the knight sports. If you want to post photos, I can't stop you. But I don't see why you want to post here. The only thing different about the monster vs the regular is the IC. The radiator is 100% the same.

But he has been on my back for 7-8 years. I don't even know him and I have never done anything wrong to him. Instead of talking crap on the internet, I feel the best way to shut him up is by proving VMIC is better than SMIC. This is the only way to shut him up. Trust me, I tired to stay away from him but he keeps coming back!

I already have local customers swapping from M2 large to regular vmount. My empolyee had the M2 large on his car and after the swap, everything is cooler. There is another local customer with the CWR and same result. I did use those data but Kevin just says I made it up. They did do their testimony but Kevin just called it BS. What else can I do?

As do most people Zach. However, most arn't willing to pay an extra $496.00 for a couple degress diffrence. There's alot of things you could purchase for the car with that extra cash. (Rotary Extreme regular v-mount = $2,350.00. ASP large + Koyo radiator = $1854.00)

Thanks for the support. But I want to point something out. You don't need to use a vented hood for a vmount even though I offer vented hood. A vented hood will help the SMIC more than a VMIC. A vented hood will help to reduce the engine bay temp but with the vmount, the engine bay temp is already lower. So you can save the vented hood money and use it on something better.

You do have a point. But like I said, if you run a V-mount hood then it will be FAR more than just a couple of degree difference. I was talking stock hood vs. stock hood. I just think that what Chuck is doing is very honorable. However, I do not want to get in the middle of this flame war. Not that you are trying to put me there Alex, but I wanted to point that out.

Chuck, maybe it was just my experience but I saw a dramatic difference in both my coolant and intake temps with my V-mount setup after I switched to a vented hood. I know that is what made the difference because it was the only thing changed. Maybe I just got lucky, but that's why I say you "need" a vented hood.

Your wasting your time here. There's been many posts in this thread from your customers. That should be a clear indication that people know what's true and false about your business, you, and your products. There's no reason to drag this out to prove your points. Most already see them.

Oh great, I'm being judged by my post count. I've actually been on this forum since 1998. My original screenname got banned because I got into a argument regarding a friend of a moderator. And I've been around before RE got big and known on these forums. If you ask any of the older rotary owners in the Bay Area (not these young kids who had their parents buy their car or recently new owners), then I'm sure they knew me or heard of me. Heck, I even worked for a big Mazda/rotary tuner here in the Bay Area. But being a working man and trying to run my own business and support a family, I didn't have to create a new screen name and post a lot until recently.

I'm sure M2/ASP and Kevin have helped this forum a lot. I don't have personal expereince with him, so I won't judge him or you. But times are changing and old technology is going to be outdated. I'm not going to say the M2 SMIC doesn't work, but its going to be beaten by something newer and better. Thus the VMIC setup. Its just the way it works. I'm sure Kevin is feeling some pressure because its just natural competition.

 

Just keep in mind, as Chuck pointed out above, a vented hood will also help the temps of a SMIC setup as well.

This is not about backing up me or Kevin. I want to show true results. That's the whole point. I am a good person or Kevin is the first guy breaking into 11's will not change the result. The performance of the products will give you the results you want.

It also depends on the ambient temp. If the ambient temp is below 85F, it does not really make a big difference. Bay Area is cooler than most of the country.

The problem with him is that he keeps telling people VMIC does not work and there is no way it cools better than SMIC and keeps telling people my physics concepts are wrong without proof and personal attack my English ability.

So the whole point is to show VMIC does cool better than SMIC even with a smaller IC core and Kevin can admit to that, apologize for what he has done and be a man to admit his statements were false.
