Vacuum woes

OK So I am having very intermittent secondary boost problems. 1st turbo is great, sometimes the secondary comes online and is rad, other times it wont come online and feels like no boost

Underneath the pressure tank again, and I saw this

Now I can see the check valve I glued together is unglued (heh I'm not that dense) but my question is concerning the part with the writing (cg-2f) and the open vacuum nipple

here is another pic

Is that another 1/2 a check valve or a filter? It looks like a filter, but I don't know anymore. Should something be "clipped" into the holder right next to it? Where does the open vacuum nipple to the left goto?

Trying to bypass taking the UIM off til turbo upgrade, thats why the multicolored silicone. Replacing them as they go.

Thanks for any assistance you guys can offer.

Well I am not positive on the pic but I am pretty sure that is a check valve not a filter.

But that open pipe is supposed to be that way, check out the vacuum diagram and you will see it.

no no, that is just a filter. Now, gluing that check valve back together wasnt a very reliable thing to do Do you get secondary boost after its been at operating temp after a while? It could be a solenoid failing when it gets really hot. or it might have somthing to do with that check valve u glued together.

Cheers

Give some more info on your problemente! Im still somewhat new at secondary problems. And yes I am 17, but I did the whole vacuum line job, and diagnossed the **** out of my secondary boost problems about a month ago

I'd forget trying to glue that check valve together, since you obviously aren't any good at it (really kidding)

In one of the hose job write-ups, I noted two part numbers for the plastic check valves, listed as large and small, but I can't remember which one yours is. With your pressure tank off, you should be able to see a few valves. There are two different plastic ones, and one metal one. Hopefully, you can figure out if the broken one is large or small, though you could always order one of each.

small diameter check valve- HE41-13-995
large diameter check valve- N390-13-995A

The CG-2F hose is perfectly normal if you have a manual transmission. If you had an auto, it would be hooked up to another solenoid, and that other open pipe that's sticking up would be used too.

There's a color vacuum routing drawing that's been posted a number of places. If you don't already have it, you need it. It will show you the way

Cheers,

Ummmm... isn't the part in question just a block off for the manual xmission model? My vacuum diagram shows a block for the double throttle control solenoid valve in MT models. This block would be removed in an AT model, and replaced with a check valve leading to the primary turbo inlet, no? Am I reading the diagram right?
