Is the vacuum line on a blowoff valve necessary? I searched.

Is the vacuum line on the top of my turboxs RFL BOV necessary for proper operation? What does the vacuum line accomplish? Keeps the piston closed under boost?

What happens on your boost gauge when you let off the throttle?

That should answer it all.
