v mount intercooler that retains airconditioning?

Hello,
I bought an rx7 store v-mount intercooler and I have issues and a major one is my ac radiator. I live in a hot environment and want to maintain my ac. I searched and saw nothing so I'm wondering if anyone knows of a somewhat easy to install kit that also retains the air conditioning?

there is not. even with the greddy kit, you have to do something. you will need a custom solution or buy the kit from jp3

I have a Greddy V-mount with the JP3 kit...was straightforward to install and works incredibly well. The AC in my 31 year old FD works better than in my 2016 daily driver. I did however use the Toyota MR2 AC compressor (DENSO4711426 - SCSA06C)...along with the JP3 adapter brackets, RX-8 condenser, JP3 lines...the only FD AC part is the evaporator.

Please have a look at our blog highlighting all the various AC line kits we produce for the FD.

If you have a denso system the HKS v mount should be a bolt on fit that retains ac
if you have a mana system like me you'll need the jp3 hoses or fab your own loop like i did

The main con of the HKS vmount is that it puts the rad fans extremely close to the ground.

The Greddy kit is decent but still a bit tricky to mount the condensor. Ihor / IRPerformance and perhaps Banzai Racing had posted about that in the main Greddy vmount thread.
Greddy kit + the JP3 parts is the easier way to do this.

The greddy kits ive seen with ac have the condenser mounted almost completely parallel to the flow of air which isnt ideal for efficiency.

But the main alternative to that which is the HKS kit has a pretty negative tradeoff which is that it's mounted dangerously low. (Especially if using a koyo n flow)

I still get by with my HKS vmount + koyo n flow without any scraping. But i set my ride height pretty high. Pics below.

Yep. Pick your trade off. I really don't like the trade offs of the HKS kit though.

I have been running the hks Vmount for around 12 years now. I will have to agree with this statement.
It retains the A/C beautifully (If your vehicle is RHD) but there's stuff that are annoying to say the least.

I did make some adjustments to my HKS kit and one of them was to make a custom fan/shroud

i could share some information if anyone is considering this setup

I have the Knight Sports v-mount, which mounts the condenser as a splitter.

The kit comes with these condenser mounting brackets.

The Knight Sports brackets only work with Denso condensers. (I had a MANA system so bought a DENSO condenser and had MANA fittings welded onto them. I also had some custom AC lines created in addition to bending some stock AC lines.)

The brackets are attached using stock pre-tapped holes.

The condenser then mounts as follows.

The Knight Sports kit does not have the funky radiator hose routing that the HKS does. Both inlet and outlet hoses are at the top of the radiator.
