Hello,
I can't remember where I saw this, but I thought I read that the Rotary Extreme intake will not work properly w/ stock IC/ radiator. Is this correct? From pics I have seen, it seems that the stock radiator would be in the way of the inlet to the RE intake .
For the time being I plan on getting an intake, PFC, dp, and I already have a catback. At a later time, I'd like to get the V-mount and smaller battery. So I'd like to get an intake that will work well both for now and be compatible later w/ the V-mount.
If the RE intake only works with the V-mount, might I be best off w/ an Apexi intake?
Thanks,
Tony Alvarez

The Rotary Extreme V mount intake will not work properly with the stock radiator setup.
I have a cold air intake box that works with the stock radiator setup and later on when you want to purchase the V mount intake, I will let you trade in your regular intake box for the v mount intake box. Email me at rotaryextreme@aol.com for more info.

That sig is old. Forgot to update it. It works with single turbo.

I would definately recommend a vented hood for anyone buying this setup, even if you get it later. Even though the IC will be much more effective than stock and other upgraded SMIC's, with the vented hood you get so much more performance. As far as I'm concerned for my purposes it's a necessary component of the VMIC. I'm sure you can get a good deal if you buy them together too
Do a search on vmic if you want to learn more about it. We covered a lot of ground on the subject on other threads.

Hey Chuck,
On the radiator,...where is the location of the upper radiator hose and the lower radiator hose? The upper wouldn't be a problem, but where does the lower radiator hose connect to? I don't see pics of this? Also, is the radiator cap flage readjusted to compensate for the angle position of the radiator or is it still located technically at the top of the radiator?

Oh...ok. Regarding the radiator cap flange, I was just wondering where the location of the radiator cap fits, whether it is at an angle (assuming that top of the radiator was not rewelded) or whether it sits upright.

ahhhh, Here is a link to my install. I think there a picture in there without the IC on, it might be able to visualize it better.
