Unknown Bumper Fitment
Guys,
here I am again asking for expert advice from Chile...
I had this Unknow brand RX7 Bumper from someone who didnīt know the source.
I test fitted today and it looks like this...
In my opinion better that stock 03 Bumper
Problem is:
1.- VERY bad Fitment on sides, where it meets the fenders...
And I mean BAAAD...
[/IMG]
2.- It does not seem to accept the 93 rebar (beside the 99īlights fitments issue)
So questions for the experts...
- Is there any Front Fender that fits like the bumper seems to requiere ??
- Does running a week end car (only highway) requiere to have a Rebar ??
- Does it worth to fix it ?? Is 100% HARD Fiberglass, not flexible at all...
Please your advice guys... This is my only source of information here....
Gracias..!!!

You can cut the 93-95 rebar to fit the 99 spec lights, search the thread, I think goodfellas had good pics of it. Basically cutting the rebar to fit the sidemarker housing of the 99 lights. the rebar supports the bumper from sagging...won't do much in a front end crash. Many guys with aftermarket bumpers don't have rebar...some sag, some dont. crapshoot.
Fix it? To me, its not worth it. I would give it an honest try to massage the fender spacing to fit better or heat the fiberglass. Otherwise you may want to invest in a new bumper or aftermarket fenders if it bothers you that much.

Ok Guys, so is not too bad, or si not something unusual...
Iīll give it a try, am not an xpert on this but Iīll try myself with the rebar (I would like to have it) and take it to a shop for the bumper & fenders.
Thanks a lot..!!! (again)

the bumper is a vertex bumper.
im seriously doubting this, but it could be the vertex ridge version, the entire 6pc kit comes with front fenders, and the bumper is made for aftermarket widened fenders like that. the fenders with this kit wont fit stock bumper either.
i dont think trying to flare your stock fenders is a good idea at all. unless you can find the vertex ridge fenders, it will never fit properly without some good body work.
another example of this is like taking BN blister front bumper, and trying to attach it to stock body.

Guys,
So I understand I need to get widebody fenders to get a good Fitment.
But any widebody front fender would fit close to the one needed??
I mean, for example a shine fender would fit closer ??
Or it only haves to be the original one of the kit ??
Its gonna be hard to find the perfect one...

I'm not sure of the kit... and who knows these days with so many replicas floating around.. However, it does appear to be for a widebody kit. Take a look at the BN-Sports replica which is a widebody kit:

You can see on stock fenders, the sides have the same fitting problem (until the proper fenders are matched).

I can see... So definitely needs widebody fenders to match the fitment.
Question is, does any widebody fender have similar fitment ?
I like the one from shineauto, would it work ?? Or any other thah works, the local body shop insist they can fix it but I don't want them to f## up the bumper !!!
Gracias !!!!

Shine, Feed, origin body, ect… kits fall into the flared fender category IMO. Flared, because their fenders fit with a stock bumper, and their bumpers with the stock fenders. Given that they are all matched to the same mounting points (stock) you can mix and match these types of kits all day long. When you truly go widebody that game ends as those kits are designed to fit only to it’s corresponding pieces.
Edit- Jaime I'm really liking what you are doing with your FD there

BN Sports have some lip ir side fender integrated in the bumper that mine does not have.
But BN Blister looks very similar to mine, and JDM too.
Did it matched your stock fenders ???
Thanks.!!!

My normal bn kit matched my frnders just fine..
U have eiither vertex kit or final connecetion kit... I have the same front bumper as a spare in my garage.. I thinkits just warped and u just need to get a body shop too make it fit right..
Check the links I posted.. or if u would like.. post a better clear pic of the bumper and ill let u know which u have.. post a side and front shot.. but make sure they are clear and ill let u know what u got.

So it looks like u have the final connection bumper.. which fits stoock fenders fine.. just need to use a heat gun on urs and flex it in wards.
Or it could be. Vertex with out the canards...

im going to help you out a bit, judging from your posts in other threads it seems like youre having a hard time telling the wide fenders and stock fenders/flared fenders apart.
BN Blister, you can visually see how wide everything is, none of these pieces individually will work with stock anything.
Normal BN sports, stock fenders.
Vertex normal the canards are optional.
Vertex Ridge 35mm wider fenders
Final Konnexion stock fender/ Calvin wan's FD falken Vertex kit, identical to the Final Konnexion one
all that being said, im leaning towards the fact you have a FK bumper that wasnt stored properly. Take a look inside the edge of the bumper and see if you can find signs of repair or body work as well.
