two-post lift

I tried searching but nothing came up. Just wondering if anyone has a 2-post lift, nothing too schnazzy, something like a 6000lb lift, whether at home or at work. If you do, how do you like it/cost/ease of installation or did you have someone put it in for you/where you found it. basically any info on it would be great. thanks

We have a Rotary lift

It was around $3500 installed. Its a 9000lb lift, which is over kill, but the same price as the 7000lb.

I don't have one but they are on my wish list. Here are some of my bookmarks:

Questions you need to ask seem to be:

Is my garage ceiling high enough to install the lift?

Will the car hit the ceiling or the garage door when it's raised?

Can I get my car on the ramp with my 5" front clearance?

Who is going to offload the lift once it's shipped? Everyone says you need to offload it yourself.

Before I went with the current one we have I searched the internet. All of them could get it to my door but non would install it. I got one from a local dealer and they came out delivered it and installed it. Probably paid more, but less hassle looking for someone to install one.

I have a Mohawk USL 6000 flush mounted in my garage. It's nice but expensive!

my parents just got a big new load to remodel thier house, and they are added a bunch onto the garage, and are going to put a lift in.

Sounds good to me.

yeah I called down there last night and asked about it. The lift would be going into the garage, and we want to be able to lift the car like you have in the pics there, being able to stand underneath it and work on it. the garage is, i guess, the 'standard' height, so we would either add another taller stall onto the garage, or cut the roof off and build the frame up then throw the roof back on. but we might be rebuilding the whole damn garage, have a morton building put in, so i just needed some links for lifts and such. thanks for the awesome help guys

*when* we get one, i'll make sure to get some pics of the R2 on it, maybe even my bros S4
