Don't have one yet (car is only 225 miles old). Seems to be running reasonably rich though.

I personally don't have anything other than EGT or normal coolant temp gauge (not located near the turbo) to monitor how hot the turbos are getting.

I'm not sure what exactly you are after though, it's pretty much proven that watercooled turbos have almost completely eliminated the old coking problems. Turbo timers have their uses, but for watercooled turbos the aren't a necessity.

many aftermarket turbos have dry center sections. if you have a dry center, a turbo timer is a VERY good idea. it is not a ricer mod.

that said, on a stock rx7, there is no reason. the wet center will keep the turbo cool enough to prevent coking.

Somebody said this before, I use the most practical turbo timer around, 1 minute into the next song in the cd player!
