Turbo Timer?

I'm looking into getting a turbo timer for my FD. It's still running the stock turbos.

I'm thinking either the HKS type 1 or the Greddy Turbo Timer.

Of course in searching this message board I've not become completely confused as this post https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ht=turbo+timer says the stock turbos don't need a turbo timer.

Which is it? Do I need a turbo timer, and if so which would you suggest?

Thanks,
~J

There are hundreds of threads asking this very question. The answer you're looking for is no. Its a waste of money for something that serves no beneficial purpose. For more info just search "Turbo Timer" in titles within the 3rd gen section...

The article says that because the stock turbos are cooled by water and oil. The water cools the bearings enough to not require an idle cool down, ergo you don't really need the timer. FWIW, the Blitz unit is really easy to install
