turbo or oil seals? either way...i'm screwed
So there is an excessive amount of oil in my IC piping, seeping from my IC and it looked like there was some burning off the exhaust. My actuall inkate pipe is bone dry. its everything after the turbos that seems to be the problem. Andy, Fisa, John and Mel all said turbo but Someone i know named Manny said it was the oil seals in the motor since my car isn't smoking constantly, which made sense. Any other thoughts on how screwed I may or may not be would be appreciated

i am having a similiar problem and would seem to think its your turbos...from a "cold start" i can warm the car up and after its warm rev the engine to redline and never see a bit of smoke..when i start to put a load on it..boosting.. i get a small puff of smoke when i pull it out of gear..does not happen everytime either..i think my rear turbo is done..it lets oil slip past after having a load on it and hense the small smoke..The only real way to identify is pull the turbos and check them..

mine does that too..only after long trips though..like if im goin to sacramento or san jose, i live in central cali btw ( lemoore, hanford, fresno area). but the only smoke is from the dp like almost all the way back to before the muffler. worried. and yes more info on the pcv please..lol

Another possible cause of this I just learned is the oil injection nozzles have a check valve to prevent oil from being blown back up the oil lines....if one or both go bad, you will shoot oil right into your turbo housing under boost. Just another possible source if the turbos look to be in good condition.
