turbo II & 93 rx7 shifter

does anyone know if the turbo II transmission shifter is the same as the 93 rx7?

yes it is, i have my C's short shifter from my old FC installed in my FD with no problems at all! i think that the only differance is that the pin in the shifter bore that goes in the groove on the shifter ball is on the rear in the FC and the front side in the FD.

good i am missing the shifter for my transmission so i was just wondering if the FC shifter worked until i buyt a short shifter

86-88 shifter has a different thread pattern for the shift **** compared to 89-95 Rx-7 (as well as Miatas and Rx-8's)

didnt think about that part, i have always had a razo shift **** on that shifter, dont know how either stock shifter fits. my FC is an S-5 tho if that helps, i am pretty sure that the lower mounting setup is basicly the same on all fc and fd's tho.
