Turbo back exhaust installed & results (megan racing and racing beat dual)
Megan Racing downpipe and midpipe:
and the Racing Beat dual tip:
Besides that I threw a PLX wideband on the car at the same time.
So how is it? Pretty damn rowdy...that's what it is. It burbles pretty well at idle. At cruise it's actually pretty quiet (inside the car at least). At full throttle it screams. Out on the highway after a third gear pull it shot a big enough flame to light up the whole road and shoulder behind me. :o It's damn fast too. And so much happier and peppier. I thought it would make a difference but this is way more than I expected. It's like a new car.
To give you an idea on the flow difference the PowerFC can control stock boost by wastegate duty cycle. The maxes the commander can ask for is 90% for maximum boost (wastegate almost always closed) and 20% for minimum boost (wastegates almost always open). I was running 84% to get 11.8 psi on the first turbo and 56% to get 10.8 psi when the second turbo came on line. Sequential transition dropped all the way down to 6 psi for a split second. Now I'm running 24% on the primary turbo and seeing the same 11.8 psi. When the second turbo comes on line I'm running 20% (minimum boost) and I'm still creeping to 11.2 psi. Transisiton is 9.5 psi now (awesome).
So one thing it needs though...tuning. I do my own so its no biggie. It needs to be leaned out a little at idle and full throttle needs more fuel. I'm seeing 12.4:1 at 5k and it richens up to 11.8:1 at 7k. I'd rather see mid-low 11's on 91 octane.
