Trying to buy a 93 RX7 - PLEASE HELP

There's a 1993 Automatic RX7 for sale near me.
The engine has gone bad the guy said, and it will need a new engine.
He's asking a VERY cheap price and said he just doens't have the time for it.

First off, from everyone experience how much will it cost to replace the engine, I heard about LS1 swaps but that's too much for me right now, I only have 2,000 extra or so after I buy the car. How much would a stock engine cost plus to have it installed?

Also, I'm a bit worried about buying the car, then having a new engine dropped in, and then the car has something else wrong (sense I can't test drive it now). Radiator, Altenator, fuel pump, everything else that could go wrong. Is this something I should be worried about, or is there a way I can check everything / what should I check?

I appreciate all of the help I can get. Thank you.

Do a search. 2g is not going to cover a new engine. What does the guy want for the car, that will give us all a better idea.

This is not the car for you. Move on.

And please don't come back using that username either, start a new account with a less offensive name.
