transmission
Okay I have searched and searched for parts that i should replace while i'm inside the transmission replacing the syncro's.... The best I could find was this list...
Upgrade the spindle
Install inner and outer seals
New clutch fork
Check ALL the syncros
New Clutch, if necessary
New TO bearing
New pilot bearing
Check the slave cylinder
Upgrade to a SS clutch line
Anything else i'm missing?
Thanks

I think you need the seal that sits in front of the pilot bearing as well. I would also change the rear seal on the tranny while you have it out.
I just dropped my tranny last week for a broken clutch fork...

Replace all shaft bearings in the tranny. Removing them will damage them, and replacing them is usually more important than synchros anyway. The needle bearings between the gears and mainshaft though are usually fine for re-use - it's the ball bearings especially that should be replaced.

Well then my 86 Honda Accord didn't need the flywheel resurfaced either. But resufacing (or not) made a huge difference. I think the driving style and mileage on the flywheel make a big difference too.
IMHO, it's foolish not to, anytime you replace the clutch. If you're re-using the clutch, and it wasn't shuddering, leave it alone. If it was shuddering, buy a new clutch and get it resurfaced - IME resurfacing alone will not help when mated to a used clutch.

I won't be doing the clutch. I just purchased the car and the person before me put in a brand new spec stage 3 clutch less than 2k miles ago. So none of that will be necessary. thanks guys
