I have two engines and transes out of the cars,need to know if there is some kind of trick to poping off the ring on the splined shaft,so as to seperate the engine from the trans,any help would be greatly appreciated.

I could not get mine off, I had to undo all the clutch bolts and seperate the engine and then pop off the ring.
