touch up engine bay paint
I'm needed to touch up some areas in my engine bay that paint has peeled off from. Can I get paint from an auto store like Autozone or a Wal-mart? Do I need to special order some? I just need a small can, has anyone done this that can guide me to somewhere that I can get some.

I bought mine from http://www.paintscratch.com.
Perfect match for my '93 SilverStone FD. Check out their site and give them a try. I highly recommend their products (although they are not cheap :-).
Good Luck.

I just did mine while the engine was out. The problem is that the paint won't match the bay perfectly, as it is made to match the thicker, clearcoated exterior.

DMoney, I'm not sure you understood what Alex said. The exterior touch up color won't match the engine bay. The engine bay paint is sort of a flat version of the exterior color. It will be noticeably different if you use an exterior color in the engine bay. Where to get the flat engine bay color? That answer will have to come from someone other than me.

Yeah, I'm hoping a little heat and road grime will make it match better. Heh. The flash on the camera makes the match look worse than it is.
As far as prepping, I scrubbed the areas that had rust spots with a wire brush and ultra dawn/water, then wet sanded with the dawn and water, dried and primed. Couple light coats and I was done.
Didn't take long with the crap out of the way.
