Nice find Kev. Funny how your memory plays tricks on you, I'd have put money on it being silver!

You are wrong, Vicki was working on BBC's Top Gear in 2000.

I have on tape somewhere Jeremy Clarkson driving an FD RX7. It was about cars that were very good value second hand. He just about fits in it!

When the FD RX7 was first sold in England it was almost £40,000 but when no one bought it they dramatically dropped the price to almost £24,000 and killed it's second hand values stone dead.

Anyway he drives the car for about 5 minutes in the program, and then moves onto the Jaguar XJ220. £500,000 new about £150,000 second hand!

Top Gear have always loved the FD RX7 though.

Rear fog lights in bumper??? I would like to see a pic of that.

Yes she did, not sure whether she jumped or was pushed, she worked on Top Gear until the end of 2001 and started on Fifth Gear in 2002.

Jeremy had quit from TG for awhile.. when he had some disagreements with BBC... he wanted to change the show and run it his way.. brits being the difficult brits they are.. said no..

Ratings plummetted ppl stopped watching the show..

Discovery channel pounced on the opportunity.. and offerred $$$ to VBH and Tiff.. to make an american comparitive to TG since they don't readily get TG in the states...

VBH and Tiff realizing it was a sinking ship.. abandoned it.. shortly after their departure.. BBC broke down and re-nogiated with JC.. and he had his way... and they brought in James may and Hamster to fill in the empty spots..

the rest is history...

*on a side note* I met Tiff Needel in person...
