i would definitely say its a scam and it reminds me of the week i finally began my hunt to buy an FD after couple years of saving along with months of research. i was gonna get one for about 13k from this guy in georgia who said he was in the marines in some military base. i emailed him that i wanted to buy it and we began to discuss payment/transaction from there. he wanted me to send him the money then he said he would send me the car. yeah...right, like im gonna blow all my cash on something i cannot see let alone inspect.
i offered many options for me to see the car in person and to give him the cash up front but he was so difficult and obtuse to any solution that i just cut him off and went to houston instead for the FD i have now. bottomline: always go in person to buy a car, i would hate for anybody here to blow years of saved up cashola along with their hopes to some internet thief.

Ill buy it. But ill send you a check for 10,000 from my Nigerian address and you can wire the excess money back to me from the states to my Iranian account. I will have the car delivered to you from Mexico City, Mexico, where the car is located by my associate. I really look forward to doing business with you.
Oh, I forgot to mention, there is a King Abudabi here in Afica that just died and you can free his assets of more than 2 million dollars if you wire me 2000 dollars to my Albanian account to pay for the legal fees to freee his assets...

i knew the previous owner of that car he was partners with a highly repituable performance company from nj called spi. though the company split. the car is sweet. if i remember she picked up the car for 21,000. the car was moddified already when she purchased it thought think she has changed a few things from that time. this is going back almost 4 years now. car is still as sexy as when i first saw it.
