Threadlocker on suspension mounting bolts?

I'm replacing the springs on the FD and wanted to ask if it would be a good or bad idea to use some blue threadlocker on the mounting bolts that need to be taken out when putting them back in.
I noticed that on the large 17mm bolt connecting the shock to the lower arm it appears there was some green stuff on the threads. Looks like the bolt came pre-treated like that.

I don't see why it would be a bad idea, but wanted to get some answers from people who would know better than me.

TIA

Its not really necessary. That stuff isn't threadlock.

I wouldn't! Those damn things were hard enough to get out in the first place, LOL.
