testing compression
What's the correct procedure for testing compression? I followed the instructions in the manual, but I'm not sure I'm doing it right.I screwed the tester into the trailing plug and cranked the engine. It jumped up to 45psi, 70psi, then 100, moved around a little but stayed around there after cranking it a few more time. About same on the other rotor but it only hit 90psi.

really as long as you get 3 even pulses that is all that matters it can very but no more that say 12-15 psi max but to me that is a little to much i would (IMO) go with 7-10 psi but that is just me.
also get a real mazda tester and it comes out on a cool (earthquake type) pc of paper![bgth](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/biggthumpup.gif)

Here's the info I used. Haven't had a chance to retest it yet. http://www.rx7turboturbo.com/robrobi...ompression.htm
