Testimonial for covercraft windshield sun visor
So...living in Florida, leaving your car parked in the sun from May - Aug will absolutely scorch your interior. A windshield visor is necessary for the below reasons:
1) make your car cooler upon entry
2) allow the mediocre FD a/c work more efficiently
3) preserve your brittle 90's plastics
4) hopefully stop your tri-power gauge from melting
I splurged and bought a covercraft custom hard sunvisor for my FD. Cost is about $55. Took about 3 weeks to arrive as they are manufactured to order it seems. These things are phenomenal quality. The fitament in the windshield is perfect, it is not universal. You don't even need to flip the visor down to keep it in place, it slots in perfectly. The outer side is reflective material, the inner side is a soft felt material. This is the Mercedes of sun visors. Worth every penny imo.
Just thought i'd pass this along to other FD brethren in hot climates.
