In-Tank Fuel Pumps

I know you can fit twin 255s and Twin Bosch's, but is it possible to fit 3 255's? Or what is the highest flowing in-tank setup up you can go with?

I have a feeling I'll have to go sumped tank and an external pump, but I'm trying to avoid that at all costs.

Thanks!

What is your setup and how much power are you making? Twin Bosch pumps is plenty for 99% of the cars out there.

Fully forged 370ci LS2 with 98 LB injectors and a GT47-88. I won't settle for anything less than 1000rwhp on E85. The f-bodys and vettes are running triple 255s on 1000+whp e85 turbo cars, didn't know if it was possible in an FD.

Why not run an Aeromotive A1000 in the tank? I've read they can be used in-tank and they are rated at 1000 hp! If you need more they make even bigger pumps, why you need that much fuel in a street car I'll never understand.

Sweet, I'll look into that, might have to run more than 1 though if its only good for 1000. I need to be able to feed ~1500hp with the E85 since it uses more fuel. Not sure what you mean by that last part?

3 x Bosch 044 with reservoir should work out pretty good from what i know.

Every Aeromotive i have seen has failed (at least on GT-Rs). Go try a weldon pump if you want a big power race pump.

Picking a high horsepower fuel pump is like picking the least of the evils. Every one has failed at some point. Just some more than others (i.e: walbros, etc)

It's for my DD street car, which is why I was hoping to hear I could run 3 intank 044's or 255's.

Running 3 044s would probably be a tall order INTANK. All the GT-Rs (my experience) who run 3 Boschs do external pumps with a reservoir. Running these intank opens up another whole can of worms.

So they sump the tank and run them externally inline? Or they're doing a surge tank sort of deal?

I don't really trust boost-a-pumps. Kind of a half assed band aid IMO. Not that trying to run 3 intank pumps in an rx7 isn't though lol
