Switched to Mobil 1 yesterday...
All I can say is....the stuff is awesome! After reasearching for months now I couldn't find anything that shows that using synthetic is harmful to the motor. I'm using Mobil 1 10w-30 and the results are great. The motor idles smoother than ever, acceleration is even smoother. However, the best part is that the motor runs cooler. My PFC commander is showing that I'm running 8 degrees cooler! I don't know why I didn't use this stuff sooner. Any doubters should give it a try, you'll never go back to dino juice.

Oh yeah, I'm also using Marvel Mystery Oil in every tank full of gas. It's great stuff as well. My vaccume @ idle has increased from 16-18'' to 18-20''. From what I've read, it contains detergents that breakdown carbon and sluge buildup, and help keep the seals clean and lubracated.

I was wondering now..... I use dino juice, but i change the oil (AND filter) every 1000 miles during the summer, and every 1500 miles during the other seasons here in So. Cal. Would it really be better to switch to mobil 1 ($$$) and just change it every 2500 miles? Keep in mind i drive 1 1/2 hrs in traffic per day...

r0t0r-rooter: synthetic oil will definately help you out. on a stressfull driving schedule like you hold the engine is screaming at you. the longer you use a high quality synthetic the better it gets. the synthetic change it 2500 would be perfectly fine for you.
as far as MMO goes. . . i thought about using it, but i decided to go with z-max. i have a box waiting to go in. my engine puked a coolant seal so i gotta rebuild it. once i get that done. . . and the engine broken in. . . i will be using z-max for the duration. ill give a report of what the internals look like when i end up rebuilding the second time. . . which i feel is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down the line. haha.

I would reccomend going to Wal-mart and picking up some four ounce bottles in the area where they have the travel size shampoos. They have some clear squirt type bottles that work really well. I would reccomend picking up a quart of MMO why you are there. Then go to a parts place like a Autozone ar Advance and buy a gallon of the MMO. The gallon is very difficult to pour into a small funnel but it is much cheaper to buy it this way. Fill your bottles using the quart bottle then refill your quart bottle with the gallon jug. This stuff makes a great premix. I also run about 1/2 a qaurt with my oil every couple of oil changes to keep the oil system clean.

Myth: You can't mix Mobil 1 with conventional oil.
Fact: Mobil 1 with SuperSyn™ is fully compatible with conventional motor oils, semi-synthetic motor oils and other synthetic motor oils should it be necessary to mix them. But the superior performance of Mobil 1 with SuperSyn™ will be reduced by diluting it.

MMO is not dissimilar to two cycle oil. It's just a little different for four cycle motors. It can't be bad, cause it goes into the combustion chamber to be burned, same as the oil injection system we have currently. IIRC, the stock oil metering unit does not work as well as it should(?). So MMO may be of great advantage.
