Swapping a JDM engine harness

I intend to buy a JDM front clip, my harness has seen better days. Do these interchange? I hope to use the JDM ecu so using the JDM harness would be a good thing... what are your thoughts?

Thats a big fat NO. The plugs are the same, but the ecu is on the other side of the car.

Why do you want to use the JDM ecu??? It's tuned for higher octane gas...

There is no ECU fitament isssues per se, ya just need to extend a ground wire or two and the JDM engine harness will reach to the passenger side of your US spec FD. However I will be updating the thread that will address that "brown" wire issue aka Fuel Thermosensor.

Also rynberg is right which is why i probably could not get my JDM ECU to run the car properly. I had ECU codes that included crank angle and another one I can't remember right now. I actually smoked out the entire mechanical shop with that ECU until I plugged my US ECU in.

And to anyone who reads this and wants to do a JDM engine swap, it's not plug and play and after doing this myself, heed the words of others. Unless you absolutely need all the parts that come with a front clip, I would rebuild the engine straight out if I were to do it all over again.

I just used the JDM harness when i did mine about a year ago.

You'll need one of the blue plugs from the USDM and there is that brown wire thing i remembered doing.

For the most part it's fairly stragiht forward if you have a schematic.
