Is this thread a joke? If you are having this much trouble and need to post just to take your tire off, maybe letting professionals fix the car from now on is a better idea.

[sarcasm, do not really do this well unless you want to buy new rims]
I've always found a Sawzall perfect for removing stuck anything, just cut the rim/tire in half and then you can pry from the middle. It should be easy to pop it loose then. They're not too expensive either and think of all the other uses, add a sunroof in minutes! Carve those fenders up for better wheel clearance!

On a serious note, rubber mallet and WD-40 or other lubricant you'd use to remove a rusted bolt is the best solution.

stuck wheel
This reminds me of the "mechanics" at Sears trying to get the rear wheel off my Chevy truck. They beat the shxt out of the wheel with sledge hammers front and back side and spun the tires back and front (while in the garage!) and tried heating with a torch, soaking in WD-40 and wasted an hour of my time. I finally told them to put my new tire on the spare and *I* would get the wheel off. When I got home, I threaded two 3/4 inch bolts in the spare holes in the steel wheel, turned them in like a reverse wheel puller (wheel pusher?) and popped the wheel off in about 30 seconds time. Unfortunately, the FD wheel does not have the extra threaded holes.

This only happened once, when I had a flat tire in the cold morning rain and I was rushing down the freeway already late for arriving at the airport. I took out the spare and used it to swing and whack at the tire/wheel that would not come off; both from the side and from underneath. Still would not budge, and I was whaling on it.
Probably had not been off the car in eight years, since new.
AAA aid car came and finally got it to move with a sledge hammer from the inside side. (Yes the lug nuts were still loosely on the studs, so the wheel did not roll off down the freeway...)
Wisdom: remove and remount your wheels maybe once a year. Whenever the wheels are off, put a small amount of ?silicon? grease around the axle hub to prevent corrosion. Do this when it is warm, not raining, you are off the freeway, and you are not late for a flight.
A little dab will do you.
