Stupid wheel is stuck on car

Well, I take all 5 of the lugs off ,and come to find out that my wheel doesnt want to come off. I really dont know what to do about this . I guess it got rusted on to the axle? Has this happened to anybody and how did you get the wheel off?

I have scene them stick before. Get down on the ground and kick the wheel, first on one side then the other until it comes loose.

Spray a little WD40 in it and kick it just like stated before. It happens more often than you think.

are you kicking from the outside of the car or from under the car? put the car on jackstands and kick the **** out of that tire from the inside.

Christ, don't do that! What if the car falls. No, kicking from the outside is fine, but kick on the EDGE of the wheel with your heel. It'll come off.

yes use WD-40! i had the same problem when i wanted to test fit my wheels(damn corrosion) and no matter how many times i kicked the wheel it wouldn't come loose. i busted out the WD-40 and sprayed where the wheel meets the rotor all the way around and let it penetrate for about 20 mins, then kicked the wheel and it came loose.

Just take the lugs off and drive it. That'll loosen it up. Joking. Get a crow bar and pry the sucker off. It's not that hard. If your pry bar is too short, add a metal pipe and make it longer. Eventually, you'll get it off.

Take a sledge hammer, and put a board against the tire and nail the edge with the sledge. Just make sure the board is on the outside, and dont hit the tire, only the board

Jack the *** end of the car up. Back off the lugnuts a couple of threads. Gun it and then slam on the brakes. Always works for me if kicking it while under the vehicle doesnt. The front wheels should be easier and will come off with a couple of kicks. Dont be scared. You wont break anything, just kick hard this time!

Then you'd have a sick burnout... learn the correct place to set the jackstands and he should have no problems.

i agree with xstransam...i work at a wheel shop and all service shop currently and whenever a rim is stuck on the hub of a car...we just hit it with whatever we have around the shop that looks like it might knock it off....(hands....or the big black guy "he-man" that works at my shop)

Go pay some shop to rotate your tires so they have to deal with it. It will be like 20 bucks and save you a whole lot of trouble. ALso try heating the rim with a blow torch. Since its a different metal than the hub, it will expand at a different rate and that might cause it to break free, with a little help from a mallet too.

Hit it with a rubber malet on the inside of the rim.

I think he gets the idea. Kick it or hit it with a hammer. Jeeze. I don't know how many times you guys can say the same thing over and over again.

If you're squeamish about banging on the tires with hammers, put two lug nuts on a couple turns (aka VERY loose) and put the car back down very roughly (DROP that floorjack!). If that doesn't crack it loose then push hard on the car side to side. Might help if you go from the other side of the car. This might not work as well because FD have flimsy fenders so you can't get into a really good rythmic shoving action, but if you can pull it off you'll hear a gunshot-like crack when the wheel pops free.

And if THAt doesn't work.... put all five lugnuts on finger tight, then back off a couple turns, and drive it. You'll be able to tell when the wheel breaks free. At that point STOP, snug the lug nuts back down, drive back home, and remove the wheel.
