Unhappy Stumbles with no boost

I need a little help understanding what is happening here. I did a search but it was hard to find anyone with the same senario as myself.

Here is my story:
Bought the car after engine fire. Ran but very badly. No boost or even hint of turbo spool up. Car would not make it past 4000 rpms.
I started with the car's basic needs at the time: new engine wiring harness, injectors, soleniods, sensors, vacuum hoses and check valves, vac. and press. tanks, spark plugs and wires, O2 sensor, and a thorough cleaning of the engine bay.
The car is now running but still has, more or less, the same problems.
I have 15in. vacuum at idle, which is running at about 1200-1500, and the most I can get the car to boost is almost 1psi. If I rev the car in neutal with WOT, the engine seems cut out at about 4000rpm. If I slowly rev the engine, it hesitates between 4000 to 4500rpms then smoothes back out (I have only done this to about 5500rpms because I feel like I will blow the motor).
On the road, the car starts bucking and jerking at about 3500rpm(depending on which gear I'm in) and won't go past 4500rpm. I tried to do the recommended boost test and could barely get 1psi. If I try to slowly bring the revs up I start to feel in cut out at 3500 also. Either way I always get a lot of backfiring and jerking, like I'm hitting a rev limiter or something.
Sorry for the long post but I wanted you guys to get a good understanding of what is happening. I would appreciate help from the experts first or anyone that has had a very similar problem. TIA and I will take into consideration all advice given.

thanx
Tim

After reading some more on this topic I think the problem might be misfunctioning secondary injectors. After I accelerate to a point where the secondaries are about to come on the car starts ******* up, the problem only persists at points where the secondaries are needed. At all stages of primary injection the car runs fine. This might just be the problem in my case though, from what I have experienced.

My car makes the exact same problem and it started today. I am checking the map sensor tomorrow. Did you find what was it?

Ok guys, just for the reference if someone has the same problem again, i solved it by changing the MAP sensor. Now the car acts normal.
