stuck / stripped nuts
problem 1.. theres a stuck nut on the bolt to attach the catback to cat.. any good ways to get this off? force it off with a longer breaker bar? drill/cut it off?
problem 2.. also have a stripped nut holding the alternator. i tried the gatorgrip brand socket on this which is supposed to get stripped nuts off but it just stripped the nut completely.

the cat back bolt/nut....i would just cut it off ..buy some new ones...ive never reused bolts off an exhaust...
and the bolt on the alternator....i use sockets sears sells for (20bucks for set) ...they take stripped bolts off...they dig in to the bolt as you loosen it...
not sure if thats what you were using ...
if so and you rounded it...use one size smaller...the size you used was to big...
if you dont want to cut the catback bolts off....shot them with some pb blaster...(luv that stuff)
also if you tap the head of the bolt with a hammer, it might loosen it up inside
good luck

1) Is it a stock cat? If so, those studs are a bitch to replace since they're so heavily rusted, so don't immediately resort to forcing or cutting them off. Try soaking with PB Blaster, let it sit a few minutes, tap on the nut a bunch of times, and repeat until it comes off. If it still won't come off, you could try heating it with a torch, or just cut it off and replace the stud.
2) If the nut just turns freely on the bolt, you might need to cut it off. If the nut is rounded off, I have no idea how you did that because the threads should have stripped long before you got to that point...
