Arrow stock CD player wont play any CDs?...

i cant get my stock bose CD player to play any CD's. it doesnt flash "err" like they will if its locked up, it just takes the CD, tries to read it, and spits it back out. anyone else ever had this problem? any easy fixes?...

I had a similar problem... sometimes it would play until I tried to switch tracks. Try searching, I'm pretty sure there is no way to fix it and you just need to find another one. Instead of paying a lot for another stock one, I ended up going with an Alpine head unit and Scosche (spelling?) wiring harness. It sounds great with the bose system.

thats what mine is doing. its a great way to hold a cd for a few seconds and then get it back but thats it. you're going to need a new one. either a used bose cd player or a new head unit with adapter to work with the bose junk. check the audio forum. lots of good stuff there.

Common problem, no easy (cheap) fixes:

1. Have the unit fixed: http://carstereohelp.com/mazda.htm
2. Replace the unit with an aftermarket unit

it happens. it sucks when you finally get the damn thing to work and then you hit a pebble in the road causing the cd to skip. consequently it ends up spitting the cd out in the end. i recomend you just listen to your engine.

yeah ive always had problems with my CD player as well... wont play the light colored cd-r's but WILL play the dark blue cd-r's. i wish i could find one of the cleaners that has the liquid drops that you squirt on the CD's which then cleans the lens... but apparantly they dont make a cleaning system with the liquid anymore? just the dry ones... which dont do ****

Indeed.
Go to MP3. With road noise, I can't tell the difference. (stock system)
The stock unit has a cassette player, so get the cassette gizmo. You can have hundreds of CDs attached to your e-brake handle, and fit in your pocket when your parked.

FM transmitter means the aerial goes up, which reduces your aerodynamic effieciency

are the cds you are trying to play all burned cds? If so try a real cd. I've had issues with the actual thickness of the cd being the problem
