Stock ABS piping questions

So I'm moving a bunch of parts around between my cars, and somewhere in there my labels on my brake lines got pretty dirty and are mostly unreadable.

I need to find some sort of guide or diagram that shows what is connected to what, using what pipe.

Thanks.

Man, you're probably gonna have to play jigsaw puzzle. Or, start looking at engine bay pics and see how it's run.

I think the shop manual does have some drawings of the lines in relation to the ABS unit, but they may not be just what you're looking for.

I just removed mine last week. I may still be able to tell you what goes where. Gimme until tomorrow unless someone beats me to it.

Thanks.

I could probably figure it out if someone told me what was what on the ABS pump thing, but any and all help is appreciated.

Bump because I still haven't figured it out.

Could someone just look under their hood and see what connects to what?

Here's a pic that may help you out. Sorry, I'm at work right now so I can't get more detailed information for you.

Okay, so I know that there's supposed to be 4 brake lines running across the top of the firewall.

Can anybody follow the piping on their car and post it?

Alright, I'll make this simpler.

I installed the brake lines the way they seemed to go. In the pictures below, I'm POINTING (with my finger) torwards a line with a magenta stripe somewhere along it's body. Could somebody verify these for me? The first one is the one I'm most concerned about

Man your top shock mount support looks like a shithouse wall....

You can find brake line routes in the shop manaul under brakes.

The engine bay is repainted with some crap so it doesn't rust. I accidentally removed the paint with paint stripper (got it confused with degreaser...long story).

The whole car is getting repainted after I'm done.

Checking the service manual again. I don't remember seeing it last time.

Check the FSM on pages P-11, P-20, and P-55. They have a couple of diagrams that could prove useful.

If you need more detail send me a PM and I'll go out the garage when I get home and take some detailed pics for you.

Ok. First, you're missing the center banjo for the ABS unit.

Here's how everything goes starting with the ABS unit and so we're on the same page here's how I label everything.

You have five connections on the ABS unit. Three banjos on top from front to rear (hereby called F, M and R) and two female connections up front on the driver's and passenger's side (hereby called FL and FR). Left and right are from a relative position facing the front of the car.

F goes to the connection you're pointing to on your last pic. There's a line that I can't exactly say where it comes from that has a female butt connector that hooks the two together.

M goes directly to the front right caliper

R goes to the line that ducks down behind the brake booster. The rear lines.

FR goes to the passenger side connection you point to on your 4th pic.

Process of elimination for the last...but since I know how this thread is going...

FL goes to the driver side connection you point to on your 4th pic.

For reference it's always a good idea to mark things in their relative location so things like this don't happen. Even those that have done this for years do that.

This is how I see everything going. I'm pulling it out forever, so I may have it wrong since I didn't label anything. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Good luck.
