Still love the car

Not sure if mods want to move this or what but it really has to do with the 3rd gen owners and the response we get sometimes. I've been lucky enough to own the car for about 5 years.....and thats def 5 years of blood, sweat and tears. It never fails that when I have the car out it gets A LOT of attention. Recently I've been thinking of selling for something a little more practical. With gas prices getting outrageous, not really having a 2ndary DD, and just loads of little things going wrong...i was thinking the time might be coming.

But the point of the thread is to share a little story that happened the other day. Some of you might remember that HONDA DAY vid where the FD got rear-ended by that civic or something. Well i had a similar situation happen the other day but thankfully there was no accident involving my 7. Basically i was driving past a high school in my area...it was pretty much stop and go....and i notice a few cars ahead of me is a civic filled with a bunch of teenagers. I see one kid in the back notice my car and start pointing out the window while tapping the driver to have a look as well. Not to make them feel awkward I kinda just kept my eyes forward as i inched along by in traffic. I would say once they got a car length past me in the other direction I hear this loud ERRRR-*CRASHHH*. I look behind me and sure enough the kid rear ended the hell outta this truck in front of him. I felt so bad for the kids...I mean I turn my head all the time when I see nice cars but I couldn't help feeling a little responsible for what happened. The kid got out and looked completely disappointed with the damage he just caused.

Sorry for the long post, but crazy things seem to happen and revolve around these cars when we drive them around. Like i said, i'm just happy i wasn't the one rear-ended!

CHEERS!

I've been guilty of admiring a nice car as it passes by, but I still pay attention to what's going on around me. That's the difference with young drivers, they don't know how to keep their attention where it should be, especially when they have friends in the car. When I was in high school I didn't drive the best when my friends were in the car with me. Not to say older drivers never get distracted though.
