Spun my stupid car today almost got smacked, need traction help
I spun my dang car like an idiot today after getting some coffee (My have been related
) It was a dry road. I seem to be having some traction issues. I don't have a huge amount of horse power with normal bolt ons and some higher boost. I run 275/40/17 Yoko Advan O32R in the back and 245/40 front. I should be PLANTED. What kinds of things can be done to increase traction . Tire pressure? Cement blocks in the trunk.? Your thoughts?

Check the tire pressures. Low pressures are hard to spot on low profile tires, especially wide ones.
If you haven't had an alignment in awhile have it done. Stock specs work fine for street driven cars. I have an auto-x alignment, makes the car a little "darty" when driven at speed.
Tire pressure and alignment are a BIG piece of handling balance on these cars.
Otherwise check to make sure your sway bars are hooked up, nothing broken. It is common for the front sway bar mounts to break/crack. If this has happened to your car it would be extremely tail happy. I've found that my car oversteers quite nicely with stock wheels and 245/45/16 R-compound tires on it. With the 275/40/17 rear and the 235/45/17 fronts with street tires it understeers just a touch. Perfect set-up IMHO, slight understeer is a better street set-up.
If none of that stuff is your problem, remember to never give any large amounts of throttle when your turning, a completely stock FD will spin around pretty quickly if you do, no matter what kind of tires you have.

Spun several times, just not on the street
. OK, OK, spun it once on the street
.

Oh yeah!
Actually I spun around into oncomming traffic doing a U turn, then stalled the car, then went the wrong way through a intersection before getting back onto the road I was trying to hurry up and get onto to play with a new 350Z. I'm an idiot on all accounts
