personally, if you are concerned with high speed aereo stability, id be more worried about adding a big wing.... if you push down on the back of the car harder (without adding any downforce to the front), you would in essence be lightening the front correct?? so now the front of your car is lighter and at high speeds, would be more likely to catch air or lift the nose and maybe pull a racing beat ....im with Jimlab... dont screw wiht non factory tested crap. if you want somehting "better" go with the 99 spec stuff... its new for a reason -heath

Well If you want to go no spoiler , you could use a rear under diffuser to have better traction in there rear while still have that sleek no spoiler look.

speaking of diffusers, i noticed chuck is selling a street diffuser now. It looks pretty nice, and i am wondering how track functional it is. I like the RE, but its too crazy looking.

IMO i love this one

if you want something small that still has that R1 look try this one.

Feed wing

it reminds me of the Honda NSX-R spoiler. but looks better in a FD its adjustable

BTW not to get off the subject. but its funny how they say about (downforce on any car with alot of items n stuff) that in 180mph if the road was upside down the car will still stick to the ground.

You think anybody got the ***** to race upside down or a loop. Dont think it will ever happen. But that will be a site to see

I took 2 seconds off my time at Watkins Glen adding a Mazdaspeed GTC Wing to my 95, (front had 99 splitter). Any track guy will tell you REAL wings and splitters make a huge improvement in how a car handles in a high speed sweeper.

Perhaps it is just me, but I don't like the look of the 99 Spec rear wing, however functional it may be. I would actually prefer to have "big wing on poles" like the Mazdaspeed GTC one that SR runs on their car.

Nope, we're in agreement there.

A track instructor I know has run with and without a GTC wing at Lime Rock and the Glen. He said the rear does not feel as light with the wing mounted.

From memory I believe changing the angle of the 99 spec wing to the most aggressive setting adversely affects downforce on the front axle. I assume this is because the rear wing is positioned behind the rear axle. If this is the case, moving the wing further forward would seem to be beneficial. Any thoughts?
