Yeah actually a little black duct here and a little plastic piece there and a little trim... and you pretty much have an entirely yellow car. The only piece on an FD I would ever paint that isnt already painted is the front chin spoiler, but that has to compliment an already flawless car like montego's. Those pieces are on the car for a reason, they give the car a lot of contrast and actually bring out the color more than having the entire car a single color.

As far as his car in particular I dont give a **** what color he paints his car or how much of it he paints... I dont personally care for it but you know, who the **** am I to say anything. The above statement was just my $0.02 about black trim and plastic pieces and why I think they should stay black instead of matching the rest of the car.

Great, good for you. He posted a thread asking people's OPINIONS. And that's what he got. He didn't have to post this thread. Aside from the style issues, I doubt he wanted the keyholes and things painted yellow!

I think that if you replace the plastic pieces that were painted you'll appreciate the look alot more, but if you really like the painted look on everything then leave it.

The people on here are just telling you what they would do with the car... not what you have to do. Good luck deciding if you want to back to black or stick with the uniform color look.

Advan Siena Generation II's. Good luck, those wheels are hard to come by and beautiful. Ive always wanted a set of my own.

I respect your opinion.

But basically what I was saying is that when the owners of those two cars posted their rides, 90% of the people said that they were "badass" "I love it" "your my inspiration". Now this guy posts his car and he gets chastised for basically the same paint scheme (painted lip, and rear end). What gives? I guess it's because it's not 99 spec while the others are.

oh and for the record I'm not a fan of the duct cover painted either.

I just wanted to point out: that IS NOT MY CAR. Yeah I have a montego FD, and yes I have RE Apex'i style skirts, and RE 99 style bumber, and a 99 lip but I haven't gotten around to installing them yet D:

Montego, you are correct. The texture on a 99 front lip is SMOOOTH therefore it looks natural when its painted, a painted 93-95 ends up with the texture of an orangepeel.

Hey kid its cool if you WANTED all those parts painted like that, but if it was just bad masking and laziness by the paintshop then we're here to tell you to take the car back to them.

When I had my 93-95 lip painted they sanded it down to a smooth finish. I also kept a spare stock lip just incase I wanted to switch .
