Soft pedal...

Hey Ryan-I met you yesterday at Limerock and noticed that you took the exit road at Big Bend again. Were brakes the issue this time? BTW your exits out of the esses looked fast-setup perfectly for passing down no name straight.-Bill

Generally a bad brake booster is going to give you a hard pedal, not a soft pedal. I would guess at the Master Cylinder, but you said you replaced it already. Did you properly bench bleed it before installing? It's possible to have air trapped in the master which is very difficult to remove after installation.

Hissing noise is pretty normal. The brake booster is letting air into the rear chamber from the passenger compartment. When you push the pedal down does the pedal return to the proper height?

I'm having similar issue.. Except I have No pressure on my brake pedal. I tried to bleed the system and when I got to front driver's side I have no fluid or air coming out of the system and no pressure on the pedal.. I re-bleed the rears and when I got to front, No fluid is coming out and pedal has no pressure at all.. I've bled brakes before and this is the first time I'm experiencing this issue.
I started the car and press down the brake pedal, it goes all the way down and Its barely grabbing the rotor.
Any ideas??

Hi Bill, yeah it was the brake issue that caused it partly. I didn't have much torque in the brakes and was trying to find a good braking zone all day and broke late twice causing my to take the exit road. I must say though the brakes felt much better compared to what they did at the last event when the issue occurred for the first time. My next step is the ABS unit.
