So i'm gettin the apexi PFC....should i get the commander unit too????

I'm bitin' the bullet and i'm getting the apexi PFC but for now i opted not to get the commander option. I'm hoping to dyno it down in columbus (jason from rx7 store said he could do it). I'm not smart enough at this time to do any messing around myself with the unit so i guess the main thing the commander unit would let me do is monitor some readouts..............is there any other value to someone like me for the commander unit............am i missing out on something if i don't get it..........what's your opinion???

thanks for your comments............

You dont really need to spend the extra $400 if:

If you know someone who has the Commander and knows how to tune it

Have an EXCEL shop around your parts to properly dyno tune it and access 100% of the PFC's functions (Commander only accesses 50%.

I opted not to get the Commander with my PFC since I've got XS Engineering right around the corner. The readouts on the display are kind of cool, but accurate gauges mounted within your line of sight kind of defeat that purpose.

I've seen commander as cheap as $320 but I don't have one either. Like mentioned above , if you know a tuner with a commander, he can tune it for you - otherwise it is just for monitoring your car's system. If you want to raise the boost you can get a boost controller for under $300. It's not needed - it's nice to know a tuner who can do it for you if you are not mechanically inclined (i'm not either)
