smoke... joy.
I assume/hope turbos. Only smokes at idle which leads me to think otherwise. Say at a red light if I rev to about 1500rpm and hold it the smoke stops, and sometimes when I let it back to idle it wont smoke, and sometimes it does. Doesnt smoke all the time at idle, just occasionally. Doesnt matter if it's hot weather or cold. It just randomly occurs. No necessary pattern to it besides the fact that it only occurs at idle and/or <1500 rpm. Any help?

Might just be condensation.
does it only occur within the first 15min of starting the car?
What does the smoke smell like?
does the idle chop?
what is your vacuum at idle & what is the idle rpm range?

Smoke smells like oil to me, but I've never been good at smells.
Idle is steady at about 850rpm.
Vacuum at idle is about 18 if I remember correctly

What about at WOT? My car would smoke sometimes at idle, and at WOT it was a smoke screen for the people behind me. It still boosted fine but the smoke irritated me. I found out a couple weeks ago that the turbo overheated and it needed a rebuild.
