Sleepy eye headlight kit
#26
IŽm @ the moment on producing such lights for myself.
If you are interested, join the mazdarotaryclub.com and take a look @ my project thread.
"Wo: Deeps ride..."
IŽll look if costumer will have reasonable effort with my 4buld headlight kit.
If yes and there really is interest, IŽll sell them for around 400.
but it will maybe take some time (april / may this year) before they are finished and ready to go.
Kind Regards
Marc

I canŽt understand why you are flaming about this topic.
There are countries (like the one i live in) where you need special certified headlights.
The japanese headlights on my Rx arenŽt allowed here. So there are only two solutions.
buy original european Rx-7 headlights for 700 or make your own headlights.
When you go with solution 2. YouŽll end up with what the thread starter was talking about.
And in my opinion this has nothing to do with ricer-style altezza lights in the back.
producing 4bulb headlights isnŽt easy and youŽll end up in 80% with the need to limit the popups @ a certain hight.
That has nothing to do with lame sleepy-eye mods.
Just my 0.02$.

Okay guys.
I make a small list for myself, about interested people.

I donŽt start a thread about a "group buy" now, because the build of the lights will defenitely take some time. I have my regular work and it is my second "job" producing some parts + tuning engines etc.
But IŽll start a thread when IŽm ready.
Then IŽll pm you guys that there is a thread.
In the thread IŽll discuss some things with you about the ToDoŽs on your side and then you can tell if you think it is to much to do for yourself or if it will be okay.
In the thread I can also tell you the price.
@ the moment I think IŽll go with Carbon fibre. But we will see.
Kind regards

You have to build your own housing, because when you put two new bulbs in, you donŽt have the possibility to adjust them.
So you have to build a housing whaich makes it possible for you to andjust and mount your new lights.
Thats what I was talking about , what IŽm producing @ the moment.
+ there are some more tricky things you have to take a look at.
f.e. the UMS of the lights have to be manipulated because most of the aftermarket bulbs (HELLA ort others) are much longer than the original Light. So they hit the UMS.
ETC.
As you can see. It is not that easy.
But I can put you on my list of maybe interested people and then write you, when I have a finished product.
Kind Regards
Marc

I'm definitely interested in a kit that has a quality housing (carbon fiber is good) and uses projector HIDs with a nice cut off.
If you pull this off, you'll be the first to do it on the forum and there will be a lot of interest. You can use me as your test car/customer. Search for my 20B conversion under my name. Keep me posted.

Look under the Product Development/GB section. Superdan50 is developing an awesome kit that has its genesis with the Knightsport kit. It's a bit lower in height than the KS kit and uses much better OEM quality lighting.
