Single vs Twin Turbo Setups (tried searching)
#27
First I would like to point out that I am neither an autoxer nor drag racer but I have spent enough time on this forum to get a decent idea of what's a good setup for different apps. With that said...
I would say that for drag racing a single is the best option. If you think about it, at the starting line your foot is already on the gas so when you drop the clutch you are already in your power band. Shift at predetermined RPM's so you can stay there. Single turbo higher boost levels=more power.
Apparently, sequential is more ideal for autoX. Where it is a little harder to make predetermined RPM shifts. i.e. after going around a tight corner and then dropping the hammer with minimal lag on the turbo(s). single turbo more lag= not enough power on low RPMs
