Silmplified the rats-nest/removed air pump, strange boost....

OK, it only happened once (because I only took it to that RPM in that gear once...)

I don't have anywere to go out and open the car up, so I only tried to do this once... Anyways, I was in 3rd gear, and at around 4000 RPM's (maybe a little more.) The boost went from .8 bar to .6-.8-.6-.8-.6.... it was just making the boost needle dance back and forth really fast! I haven't tried to do it again.... because it's probably not good! Also I could hear/feel in threw the car.

So do you guys think I have a vacume like on backwards? If so, would it be the big "pod on the bottom side of the turbo's, I believe it is the one that opens the main gate to the 2ndary turbo?

And another questions, my car is cutting out at .7 bar in 1st/2nd gear, does matter how I go, it will cut out around 3500 RPMS under WOT. Just falls flat on it's face! I'm almost positive it is boost related, because it you just go lightly, you can take it as high as you want in the RPM's, but WOT and it cuts out. My power FC should be here by this friday, so if it's fuel cut, that will fix it....

OK, I just pulled the engine codes, and I got:

25: Soleniod valve- pressure regulator control
28: Solenoid valve- EGR
30: Solenoid valve- split air bypass
31: Solenoid valve- relief 1
32: Solenoid valve- switching
33: Solenoid valve- port air bypass
39: Solenoid valve- relief 2
50: Solenoid valve- double throttle control.

28, 30, and 33 shouldn't be causing any problems, but 25, 31, 32, 39, and 50 shouldn't be throwing codes, when the airpump is removed and solenoids are simpliefied should they?

Any help on trouble shooting this would be great. Also, I forgot, but I take back thinking that it is boost related, because a while ago, I hooked the wastegate up to the UIM, so that it saw the absolute pressure, and it never got past .5 bar, so it's not fuel cut, maybe something else is starving it for fuel???

The pressure regulator control is for the fuel pressure regulator. Stock, it switches the vacuum source to the FPR to atmospheric pressure to bump up pressure during hot starts. Make sure that isn't a Bad Thing - if the FPR isn't hooked up properly, you'll run lean and have some problems.

I actually have fluctuating boost on the secondary, but I thought it was due to my boost controller . Interesting....

Under the silplification chart, there is no listing of a Pressure regulator control solenoid??? There is 2 turbo controls, charge control, charge relief, wastegate control, and turbo precontrol.

Also I think the flutter is due to having two of turbo control lines bacwards??? The two that run from the actual "pod" to the solenoids. Think that could be it?

Just curious, but were would the FPR vacume line hook to??? I honestly don't remember rehooking it

If you just run a vacuum line from wherever the PRC solenoid draws vacuum from (I believe it's on the lower intake manifold, near the primary injectors) straight to the FPR, you're OK. The PRC solenoid can help, but I ran MANY FC's with the solenoid bypassed with no ill effects.

Not sure about the vacuum lines being swapped. It'll take some digging with the vacuum diagram to double-check things.

Do you have a boost controller?

No boost controller.... I just got my Power FC after like 2 months of waiting yesterday, so it will be installed/tuned before the end of the month...

Also, I haven't tested it yet (because the car isn't street legal), but I think I figured out why the car stalls under WOT in 1st/2nd. If you go WOT in 3rd-5th, it won't spit, sputter, stall... nothing, runs smooth, pulls hard, Also if you go WOT in 1st-2nd in say dirt, sand, or gravel (something loose), it won't stall/loose power either. And I've never given the car a full tank of gas (it's never had anything more than a 1/4), so tonight I just got back from making 2 runs to the gas station with a couple cans to fill the tank up. And I think it is stalling because the baffles are busted/missing, and all the fuel is sloshing to the back of the tank??? It does get worse as the fuel gets lower! It will barly go up a hill when it close to the E.... So I'll see tommorow when I get home from school!

Who's da man???? ME!!!

Full tank of gas= Mmmm Mmmm good ****** donuts!!! That fixed it, after pulling the intake off like 5 times looking for unhooked vacume lines, all it needed was some gas....
