Shift points with Street ported engines?
Street ported user's...
What rpm's do you guys shift at for max. Hp and quickest ET and the Track?
Before my street ported engine...I use to shift around
7200 rpm.

Those are pretty good times.
Street port will allow you to shift higher...especially if you've got an aftermarket turbo.
Of course, I shift at 9000 rpms in 1st gear! Then 7500 rpm's after that

What!!! 9000 how? Our cars have a 8200 fuel cut rev-limit. Do you have some sort of re-programed ecu?

My MPH should be a few mph higher... or it could be that we are at 2400 ft above sea level here...

you should be able to look at your dyno plot (I assume you have one, if not, you should) and analyze it. By seeing when the power really starts to fall off, you can get a little more dialed in. My guess is you should probably be shifting around 7.5k-8k with a streetport for the 3-4 change. For my close to stock car, I shift at redline for 1-2 and 2-3 but shift at 7.5k for the 3-4.
