Security Light wont go off....
Security Light wont go off....
The Security light on the center console wont go off. Any ideas?
Here is what happened. I went to start the car and everything was dead. Popped the hood, whacked the battery (like Fonzi), and everything started just fine. The positive battery terminal had accumulated some junk. So the car started but the light will not go off.
Any ideas? And guys, thanks for the replies for the workshop manual. I haven't decided if I will just bite the bullet and buy one or just get the pdf version.
Thanks,
Petros

I doubt its a code, but you might want to disconnect the negative lead of the battery, press the brake pedal for 10 seconds or so, and then hook the battery back up - that will clear out anything stored.
If you haven't already, try arming and then disarming the sec. system to see if it starts working the light correctly.
