Best light kit ever

Man, this better be the ultimate sleek light kit ever, price wise, cosmetically and funtionally speaking.
I have waited soooo long, that I am afraid that Mazda will buy all kits produced and put them on the 2007 RX7.
I hope to get one before I die.
I will apologize in advance, but I will be the first one to stone and flame you if they suck.haha!J/K:D
Patience is a virtue that I am short of.
Give us something!!!!!!!

It's not a sleek headlight kit. It's a half pop-up kit.

BoostedRex 12-25-02 11:34 PM

Sleepy eyed kits are soooo much better than sleek kits in my opinion. That's why I've been waiting so long for this one so that i don't have to bite the bullet and pay $850 for the Knightsports kit. What's the word Ryan??

rx7even 12-26-02 02:10 AM

Best sleek light kit has got to be Rotary Extreme's sleek kit. Best pop ups will be these. :D

Latest update....well lets see......Good news and bad news. Bad news, they're not done yet. Good news, some of the projects Nick was working on are done, and now he has some quality time to spend on the lights. I'm going to try to take a trip up there in the next week or so. That's the story so far though.

BoostedRex 12-26-02 03:44 AM

Good deal. Hopefully they'll be done soon. I didn't buy myself a Christmas present hoping that these will be done soon and then that will be my present. Laterz.

Zach

rotorbrain 12-26-02 05:11 AM

If your gonna go, take a camera and take pics of what IS done.

Scrub 12-26-02 08:30 AM

So there gonna be kind of like the Knight sports light kit. Hopefully you get them done soon, it's been a while since i've seen this thread.

The one and only. A couple pages back in this thread is where I mentioned him joining the project.

capt. bill1 12-27-02 09:42 AM

So does that mean the light kit will be only sold through N-Tech?

rx7even 12-27-02 04:40 PM

They'll actually be sold through me. That's the plan at this point anyway.

racerfoo 12-27-02 04:47 PM

Nothing worth showing, but now that he has more time to work on them, hopefully I'll have something good to show soon.

BoostedRex 12-27-02 08:10 PM

Ryan,

Hey, you have any idea at all as far as price goes yet??

Zach

rx7even 12-28-02 12:20 AM

Honestly I have no clue right now. We're trying to keep it as low as possible without sacrificing quality. Hopefully we can keep it VERY affordable.

ROTORHP 12-28-02 01:56 AM

Dam... all this commotion huh? I gotta say, I like the Rotary Extreme sleek light kit(agreed the best sleek kit) but man these are growing on me fast. I might have to fab my own since exchange to can. $ sucks. I'm interested however. :D

froggy 01-09-03 11:04 AM

well It's time to bring this one back to the head of the class. What's the latest word on the project? My birthday is coming up in Feb. And I know what I want...

Not really at the moment. I'm still hearing the "If you build it, they will come" voices though. :)

Scrub 01-10-03 09:26 AM

I haven't read all 10 pages of this so someone probally already asked this question.....Will it support HID headlights?

yep, you'll have the option to get HIDs.

Scrub 01-10-03 10:06 AM

I want one, I want one :)

froggy 01-10-03 10:38 AM

so I guess these will be a 2003 christmas present then?

raskol 01-13-03 03:18 AM

If you build it they wil come.

Just wanted to add my voice. :D

sheepdin 01-13-03 11:13 PM

how much is it??
and how they look like??

rx7even 01-14-03 12:03 AM

wptrx7 - where do you think those voices are coming from? ;)

froggy - Sooner than then, much sooner! :D

Raskol - I'll add you to my voices, I hear ya ;)

Sheepdin - Not sure yet.

ddr10 01-14-03 08:48 AM

Add me to the list...

BoostedRex 01-14-03 10:21 PM

You know I'm still in. I really don't wanna drop the money on the Knightsports kit!! Almost $900 is a ton of money for those headlights.

Zach

The Blur 01-28-03 11:11 AM

I am also interested, and very excited about the HIDs. Really light up the road. :)

cover8 01-28-03 11:27 AM

time to close this lame ass thread!

Cihuuy 01-28-03 11:46 AM

dude... wats taking it so loooooooooonggggg....??? not even an update??

ech 01-28-03 05:12 PM

I also vote to lock out the thread. The last N pages consist of
"are they ready yet?" reapeated 5-6 times followed by:
"Let me check - nope not yet - soon".

Since it's clear no information can be shared on their design or features until they are a ready product - it makes more sense for them to be developed first and then a huge anouncement to go out AFTER there is a product.

That way I don't have to open the thread every time someone asks (for the 244th time) "are they ready yet?" - see that's the real reason for my admitedly self centered post.

That way the product can also die a respectable death if it isn't meant to be.

The Blur 01-28-03 05:38 PM

Well I believe the creators of these products often would like to recieve some profit from their efforts. So they post here to see if anybody is interested in such a product, and then they go from there. But this post is amazingly long.

tookwik 01-28-03 07:45 PM

close it!
(repeat 10000000 times)
then email me, when its actually done!

rx7even 01-28-03 09:32 PM

Here ya go. Took this pic a few prototypes ago. (note that the headlight cover isnt attached, just laying there)
I think we sort of have a deadline on when these will be done, but we havent really talked about it. I'm not going to bother him about it until after the wedding.
