rx7 fd hanging rpm problem

Hey guys does anyone know why my rx7 fd rpm's hang at 2,000 rpm? my idle and car warm up fine its when i rev it is when the rpm hangs im currently on a single turbo with haltech 1500

There are a million reasons for this. The easiest is to just check the tension on the throttle cable. A vacuum leak could cause a high idle but it would have to be silly to cause it to be that high. The iacv could also be stuck or the duty set too high. Your tuner would very easily be able to figure it out through the haltech.

A "smoke test" may help identify boost/vacuum system leaks. Check the vacuum line to your MAP sensor. It is easy to see.

As is the big vacuum line to the power brake booster.
