Actually he will need 3mm seals if he wants to run any kind of high boost ... Sure he could stick with 2mm but it won't last too long. With a T78, I would recommend getting that stock motor ported at a reputable shop, and while they're in there, get the 3mm apex seals.

Also the Carbonfiber driveshaft is a big waste of $$ ... (do a search on it) basically you don't save that much weight by going with it and it doesn't last as long.

just my $.02 ...

There are stronger 2mm seals that can be used, which is what I would do...

Granted, it's big debate on 3mm vs 2mm seals, but I'm on the 2mm side.

I thought this one was kind of neat, it compares the specs of ecus's http://www.200sx.org/ecudata.html

What do u mean by stronger 2mm apex seals? And if i werent to stay with the 2mm would it be a good idea to get a smaller turbo??

Since the 2mm vs 3mm debate has been hashed to death, just ask the tuner who's doing the work. I do know that there are several tuners who have race cars and they are still using 2mm, even running over 20 psi. I would like to see evidence that a 3mm seal will tolerate detonation much better than a 2mm seal. If you don't detonate, what is the advantage of a stronger seal anyway? BTW, there is a reason Mazda has reduced the thickness of the apex seal over the years: thinner seals simply work better. They seal better and they allow more power.

And with the Haltech, does it controll boost too, casue if it did wouldn't need the Greddy Profec B.

Haltech controls boost I believe.. So shouldn't need the profec B, at least I don't think. I aslo think a set of good 2mm seals would be ok, but why you looking at upgrading seals if you don't want to port the motor? To upgrade to 3mm seals you have to have the rotors machined I believe. We told you the basics, it would be easier to find someone running this sort of a setup in the single turbo section.
