Rough idle after very hard run

I have used the search function and found some treads that might help but i have still som questions someone might answer.

Ok here's the thing.

Was Cruising with a freind and and another freind in his Supra. We where going pretty hard on the higway. And my temps are high, between 100-110 celcius. I know it high. But as i get of the highway and stops at an intersection my and it drops down to idle, it's rough, shakes and sounds like a V8, but still at 1200 rpm. When accelerating it's rough and hard. It smooths out at about 2000 rpm, but the boost gauge needle jumps upp and down when accelerating with boost and going over -300 mm hg.

When going hard to the throttle i can still get same poost pattern and it still pulls strong and good.

When getting home the idle droped to 600 rpm.
So i thought bad apex.

But did a compression test today, and i had same compression in both chambers, and it was normal.

My rear roter plugg is all black, and the one in front is white/gray with some black spots.

I also have a major exhaust leak between the turboes and downpipe. Was going to fix that today.

GoodfellaFD3S u got eny clueus?
Or eny body els.

Did you check the MAP sensor to see if the hose came off? If not then it's on the firewall on the drivers side. Sometimes the lil' hose will pop off under higher boost and give very similar symptoms to what you're experiencing. If that's it then I'd suggest puttin a tie wrap on it to hold it on better. Other than that you might have a vaccum leak somewhere, but that's a bit more involved.

Jeees why do every one do the map sensor deal

I forgot to mention that. It's not it.

But with the vacume what hoses can make me get realy rough idle?

Im thinking bad spark plugs or maybe faulte vires between coils and spark plugs or maybe a bad injector.

Will check the spark plugs and wires tomorrow

Ok a littel uppdate, after doing some other stuff for a week on the car. I tried to start it on friday with new spark plugs.

Well it did not start.

Checked the plugs and they where soaked, totaly wet of gasoline and oil. Emptyed the engine and dried the plugs and tried again. Did not start, and the plugs where wet again.

Eny one got eny clues? Do i have a bad oil seal or somthing?

The car have been running werry hot, over 120 degrees celcius

Have u done anything to your cooling system?? because a stock system can't take that high temp, shouldnt go over more than about 105 celcius, over 120 celcius is beyond drivable, your engine should be toast by now, or very close to it.

my engine idles rough above 100 C, which is usually right when i start up due to heat soak. When the temps are that high, it will run a little rough.

Did you flood the car? Id check to see if you are flooded.

I had hot start issues, and when dave @ KDR looked at my plugs, the rear plug was very black, while the front plugs were fine. He replaced the leading coil, and everything seems to be fine now. Oh yeah, the hot start problems were exactly like the problems you described when you got home and you idle went to 600 and the car idled rough. Don't know if this helps, just my 2 cents.

HI,

I have the same problem after a hard run. Must be heat soak to the small intercooler. The temp (intake temp) is about 45-55 and the idle is rough.

I think heat soak because every hot day I fill up gas, after starting the engine, it wanna die. No power, rough and low idle. I guess just fix the heat problem with better cooling solutions...hood?

Thanks,

POM HB

my plugs are brand new NGK, and i got sparks on all 4.

When i try to start it, it wont, i just chime the starter. When i take out the plugs they are wet with gasoline and oil.

It wont start at all. Im afraid somthing have goone bad inside the engine. And i have run it very hot lately. Just vanting to drive. This is after i instaled the Greedy FMIC.

keep the plugs out, remove the fuel injection RELAY inside the engine bay, pump the gas and try to start it, do this for about 10-15 secs. Put the plugs back in and fire it up. Doesnt fire up, start looking for a motor.

How hard were you driving...

Also those temps are WAY too high for high speed driving.

Checked the compression again today, and it was not good. I have a blown apex on the rear rotor. The thing is when i checked a week ago it was ok.

So now the engine is out already. 4 hours it took.
