RotorSport Coatings

RotorSport Coatings
In my in-depth research of coatings and rotaries .. I found RotorSports has a nice site for their service.
http://www.rotorsportsracing.com/per...gine_parts.htm
I am also aware of the Jet Hot coatings, but one thing I saw on the RotorSport site is the rebuild and coating of the twins. I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience getting their twins rebuilt and coated (housings, manifolds) from RotorSport ??
Also, I thought the ceramic coating on the rotors themselves were pretty cool (heh, since their supposed to dissipate heat out of the combustion chamber!) ... and they coat some other pieces too, might be worthwhile investment for $500 (engine coating package) ???
I definitely want to do UIM and LIM and the Y pipe, water pump & t-stat housing - they come out shinny as well, cheaper than just polishing and they are now more heat resistant, especially the LIM.
However, I'm not sure if their coating for the exhaust manifold and downpipe would be as good as the Jet Hot coating, Extreme Silver ( http://www.jet-hot.com/headercoatings.html ) in terms of temp protection. Seems the Extreme Silver is up to 1700F .. more than adequate.
I'm thinking ... coat EVERYTHING, run stock boost on non-seq twins, alum AST, upgraded coolant hosing everywhere, Koyo N-flow ... and try and get 100K on the motor.

I cant comment on the coating but can on rebuiding twins. I have had 2-4 sets rebuilt, some didnt leak immediately others did. None of them smoked at all but did leak a decent amount. There is plenty of info on rebuilding the stock twins and the likely outcome that comes along with that. If you dont mind a little external leak than it isnt a bad idea.

I don't see much sense in rebuilding the twins when you can get a good pair for 300 shipped. Unless of course you're going for bnr's or similar. I'm more concerned with the ceramic coatings.
